(June 6, 2015) Mr. Ekkawat Puangprakon, the District Chief of Ban Kruat, Buriram Province, called a meeting of village headmen and sub-district headmen of every village in Ban Kruat District to emphasize the guidelines for maintaining peace and order and the safety of life and property of the people in risk areas living along the border in the event of an emergency situation from the clash between Thai and Cambodian soldiers at Chong Bok, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. In particular, the evacuation plan for people in risk areas must be rehearsed to understand both the evacuation route and the preparation of shelters to accommodate people who are evacuated to safe areas, including rehearsals to adjust the incident response plan to suit the situation, and the work procedures of officials to maintain the safety of life and property of the people in the event of an emergency, according to the policies or orders of the Ministry of Interior.
